Duncan Chapple

Hi, I'm Duncan Chapple. I help clients to use thought leadership and competitive analysis to influence customers, channel partners and third-party advisors like analysts, advisors and consultants. I do that by developing materials, strategies and outreach that develop your business’s brand equity through influencer marketing, social media, analyst relations, market research and other marketing activities.

Duncan Chapple leads global analyst relations research at CCgroup. Chapple directs programs that increase the value generated by relationships with industry analysts and first-party advisors. He is also co-director of the Analyst Observatory at the University of Edinburgh Business School, where he is completing a PhD.    Since 2002, he has directed the two major longitudinal studies used by analyst relations professionals: the Analyst Value Survey and the Analyst Attitude Survey. As managing party of Kea Company until 2018, he was been the core organiser of the annual Analyst Relations Value Forum and played a key role in the firm's three most recent acquisitions. As director of Kea's research business, he also led the annual Analyst Firm Awards.   Chapple has helped over 100 high-growth companies to use relationships to influence customers, channel partners and third-party sales recommenders like analysts, advisors and consultants. His clients have ranged from 'powerhouse' firms, including Cisco, Dell, Fujitsu, HP, Huawei, IBM, and Microsoft, to high-growth challengers.     An expert in the management and evaluation of global influencer marketing, he is a co-author of three books, on CRM, analyst relations and influencer marketing.  Chapple is a co-founder of the Institute for Industry Analyst Relations and remains one of fewer than 30 people worldwide with its elite IIAR professional certification.     He graduated with honours from the University of Manchester. His master's studies were at three University of London colleges:  City; King's College; and London Business School. Duncan Chapple has also studied at, among others, Ashridge,  Dartmouth College, EDHEC, the Handelshochschule Leipzig,  Université Catholique de Lyon, UCLA, the University of the Arts and the University of Newcastle. He is a fellow at Nottingham Business School and, until the start of 2017, served on the LBS international alumni council. Chapple has also qualified as a Chartered Marketer and as a member of the Association of Business Psychologists.
